2011 Cheer Year - Letter 3
Dear Taylor Anne – As corny as it sounds, the year 2011 is my “Cheer Year”, where I’m looking back and thanking all the people who have impacted my life and today is your day! You impacted my life the first night you were born, even though I had not met you or laid my eyes upon you! My first prayer for you after you were born was that very night when I felt so helpless with you laying there in the new born nursery at the hospital all by yourself. The prayer was simple, but heartfelt, “Please God take care of my baby!” A few weeks later after we had met and loved on you for a while, someone told me the story of a nurse that worked that night that felt so compelled to hold and cuddle you even though she didn’t know us or anything about you. So I have seen God’s hand work through your life and it has blessed me greatly! You are so much like your Dad because you both are visionaries! God gives you ideas that others would say, it’s not possible! But because of your leadership skills you see the possibilities and not the obstacles! I’ve watched it through the years with orchestrating neighborhood plays and backyard vacation Bible schools! Who would have thought a then 9-year old kid could pull off 6 years of backyard vacation Bible schools! What an inspiration you are to me and others! One of your greatest gifts is friendship. You are such a good friend to so many people. You don’t limit yourself with one small group of girls and I love that you are that way! Thank you for the enjoyment you have brought into my life by your acting abilities! What a joy to see you transform into Clementine, Anne Frank and Princess Prince (just to name a few!) As beautiful and prissy as you are, you are not afraid to make those ugly faces and even cross your eyes to make the character come alive! Thank you for laughing with your mother about KenTurkey jokes and mispronounced words! And, now I get to hold on tight while you become my taxi cab driver!! It’s Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride without being at Disneyworld (see wikipedia). Thank you for just being you! A true delight in my heart! Lovingly, Mom
